Chris Sustala
(Coach Crash)
Head Coach

"I am honored for the opportunity to grow on a foundation that we have set through the previous years. Each session has taught me something different in working with the NextGen youth, and I am confident this year will be no different."
Chris has been with NextGen from its very inception. As well as coaching many local adult and youth triathletes for years, he has many years of experience coaching youth swimming through the Sharks Swim Club, the South Shore Sails Swim Team, and the Aggie Swim Club, at all levels, from developmental, to seniors and masters. He also has the personal experience it takes to share with our kids what it's like to compete at the elite competitive level - he completed 3 full Ironman Triathlons, around 50 half-Ironmans, and was a member of an adult elite competitive triathlon racing group - the DOTS! As a parent of two successful and all around awesome athletes, he knows how to inspire our youth to achieve their goals.
He has been the race director for many triathlons, and is currently the race director for the Captain Kids Triathlon and the event/race director for the Shark Attack at Lake Longhorn, an open water swim race with Ironman distances.
